WOOD DEPARTMENT TAKES TO THE STREETS (Alfonso Torres)

The Department of Wood and Furniture of our Institute has recently opened an exhibition of designs and awards that have become so famous and a landmark in Spain. The exhibition is aimed at all the Campo de Gibraltar and seeks to provide information on educational opportunities for the next academic year 2011-2012. The site chosen to house the various furniture made by local students has been the No 21 Boulevard (road from the border of Gibraltar).

Teachers and students will serving the public from Monday 4 to Saturday 9 April to present firsthand the designs and projects undertaken in the Department, so as to present some of the prizes won during the previous years since it was taught Cycle Higher Level Training Product Development of Carpentry and Furniture as part of the educational offerings of IES Virgen de la Esperanza.

The opening of the exhibition open to the public began on Monday 4 to 12 hours and the act were invited all those interested in training young people (students, prospective students of our school, parents, etc. .). Every day the students will be local doing some practical demonstration of work done at the following times: Monday to Friday mornings from 10 to 14 hours and the afternoon of 17 to 20 hours and Saturday 9 10 to 13 hours. There will be demonstrations: daily morning 12 to 13 hours in the afternoon from 17 to 18.

As settlement of this initiative, a service unit will be drawn between people who are interested in our educational, for it will leave a card filled on the premises.
