The program, awarded to 30 students (all of 1, 2 º or 3 º) High School from our center who have requested it be conducted in six sessions, including five on Saturday morning, taught by two teachers of center (and Ana Belen Montes Agustín García).
Students program candidate is one who does well in school, wants to learn more and would like to devote some of their free time on scientific content to deepen participation in projects research.
The objective of this program is to bring the scientific world to students, on the thematic areas of interest from science and technology, enabling them to address the knowledge from other perspectives and actively develop basic skills.
The program will be held two Saturdays a month ago from 10 to 13 hours.
The first session will be a presentation, will be held on Friday March 18 1917 to 20 hours. The second session will be Saturday March 19 1910 to 13 hours.
The two projects to be undertaken at our institute with students participating are:
- Knowing the Universe. Tools
- know the universe.
In the final session with the participation of the Local Association of Astronomy, families are invited, and at night the telescope will be used to apply the knowledge learned and tools developed .
The participating students receive a diploma certifying their participation in the program.
Being pioneers in the town in giving this project, we hope that future editions of the award the program will be extended to other educational institutions and thus further work on the deepening of knowledge in a practical and motivating and increasing number of students interested / as in participating in this delightful pursuit of knowledge.
We also note that several students who participate in this program will do so in the "Meeting of Young Researchers" national, to be held in San Fernando in the month of April, along with students in 4th ESO and Carpentry Training Course and furniture, which have also been selected four projects submitted by the school "Our Lady of Hope.
